This photo didn’t come out on the second try either.
Behind every photo I show you there are plenty that nobody ever sees. And they don’t all stay hidden because they came out badly. Some stay hidden because… better that they do.
Keeping a straight face is hard work for me, and even harder with someone watching from behind the camera. My photographer tells me: hold it, don’t move, breathe slowly. And I hold it. Two seconds. Then we’re both laughing our heads off.
I used to think the important thing was to look pretty. Now I know the important thing is to look like me. That’s why I skip the retouching: I’d rather have the odd shadow and a real smile.
I love the one in the red dress. It caught me looking down at my shoes and that’s where I stayed, without lifting my eyes. Let everyone think what they like 😏
I’ll keep putting up new photos little by little, here and in the usual place. Some to look at slowly, and others… for whatever you fancy.
